Baby S in 4D

We went to the Fetal Medicine Center for our 4D ultrasound.  Baby S didnt really want to have his/her picture taken (as usual!) and is still hiding behind his/her arm but we managed to get a few good pictures while we were there.

25 weeks

First Kicks

Felt baby kick this morning. Have been feeling little flutters but couldn't be sure if they were kicks or not but today was a definite kick. Happened to by lying with my hand on the spot where baby kicked and felt it on the outside too. Its an amazing feeling, cant wait to feel more!

20 weeks!

Today marks the halfway point! 

19 weeks 4 days ultrasound

Had our ultrasound at the Fetal medicine center today. Was amazing getting to see baby in so much detail. Daddy was excited to see baby sleeping with hands behind the head just like he does!  Everything still looks perfect which we are so happy about. Can't believe we are almost at 20weeks and half way through! Feeling very lucky to have had such an easy time with it all so far!

Finally managed to pick up baby's heartbeat on the Sonoline Doppler too. Usually I pick up the heartbeat for a second then it dissapears but baby stayed in the same position for a couple of minutes so I could catch this video.

Baby S Heart Rate at 19 weeks and 2 days

16 Weeks

16 weeks already! Had our second ultrasound with Dr Britt today. Again everything looks good.  Baby is growing well and moving around alot!  We didn't get a good picture from the ultrasound this time but Dr Britt said we could film it.
In the space of a month the baby has gone from being 4.75cm long to being too big to fit into one picture to measure! According to different websites baby is now the size of an avocado and the eyelashes and hair is starting to fill in. This week the bones in baby's ears are forming so he/she will be able to start hearing our voices!

Our next ultrasound will be an anomaly/morphology scan at 20 weeks. We will get to see baby in more detail and see all of the bones/organs etc.

Baby Stoutjesdijk's 1st Photos

We had our first ultrasound on Tuesday the 17th of July with Dr Britt at City Hospital.  We got to hear baby's heartbeat and have a good look at him/her and even got a little wave! The Dr says everything looks perfect and baby's estimated due date is 30th January 2013.
